The stages of development of the Department of Social Medicine, Management and Business in Healthcare for the period from 1926 to 2016 have been described. The contribution of the Department in training specialists in the field of organization and management of healthcare during the period under review has been analyzed. The scientific achievements that have contributed to the development of the national healthcare, the active participation in joint work of the Department staff with the authorities and health institutions have been analyzed.
