Pharmacies in the context of the implementation of Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) requirements need to constantly monitor the quality of pharmaceutical care to consumers (patients) in order to guarantee their health and quality of life.
Aim. To develop the methodology for evaluating the quality of pharmaceutical care to consumers (patients) with dermatocosmetology diseases for its further implementation in the activities of pharmacies and monitoring the status of pharmaceutical care and timely diagnosis of the need to develop and implement appropriate measures aimed at its improvement.
Materials and methods. The content analysis, statistical analysis methods, observation methods, expert evaluation method, questionnaire method were used.
Results. The article defines the essence of the category “pharmaceutical care to consumers (patients) with dermatocosmetology diseases”, its components are considered. The list of marketing and information, consulting and logistical services, which are suitable for providing consumers (patients) with dermatocosmetology diseases in pharmacies of various types, has been determined. The algorithm for assessing the quality of pharmaceutical care to consumers (patients) with dermatocosmetology diseases has been proposed, and an appropriate rating scale is constructed.
Conclusions. Observations at 163 pharmacies in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro have found that consumers with dermatological cosmetic problems turn to pharmacies not only to purchase the necessary medication, but also to receive a consultation on the existing dermatological problem, the ways to solve it and a product by which to solve this problem. Therefore, considering that only 40 % of consumers (patients) with dermatocosmetology problems go to doctors (cosmetologists), and the other 60 % try to get advice in a pharmacy, in those pharmacies with an assortment of medicinal cosmetics (medicines) intended for the treatment of dermatocosmetology diseases the problem of organizing the provision of good pharmaceutical care to this contingent of consumers (patients) is actualized. The scientific-practical approaches proposed in the article will allow pharmacies to assess the degree of conformity of the actual level of providing pharmaceutical care to consumers with dermatocosmetology diseases to the desirable (good) one and timely identify the reserves of its improvement.
